Tucson’s Davis-Monthan air base could be the site of a commercial data center, part of a larger effort by the federal government to encourage data center operations. Developers have until Nov. 14 to submit their proposals. Several executive orders signed by the Trump administration, including Removing Barriers to American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence and Accelerating Federal Permitting of Data Center Infrastructure — are about increasing development related to artificial intelligence and data centers.
