Gather in community to watch the first Tucson screening of our new documentary produced with AZPM highlighting resident fights for stability and unity in Tucson’s mobile home parks. The screening will take place April 2, 7 p.m. at the Historic Y. The event is free but please RSVP. 

Attorney General Kris Mayes will hold an Electricity Rates Town Hall on Tuesday, April 7 from 11 to 12:30 p.m. at the Ward 2 Office, 7820 E. Broadway. The listening session is for the attorney general to hear more about the cost of residential electricity bills and trends in electricity rates in recent years. RSVP here.

Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication, in partnership with the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting, has released a new investigative podcast examining the growing health crisis among aging women in prison. Listen.

Capture wildlife digitally in your backyard with a two-part class at the Tucson Botanical Gardens. Use your motion-activated camera to check out animals in your yard and contribute to wildlife conservation efforts. First class is April 11 from 10 a.m. to noon. The second class is May 2. Classes are sponsored by Sky Island Alliance and the Gardens. Classes are $60 for non-members and $48 for a Tucson Botanical Gardens member. Bring your own camera or borrow one from the Gardens. Email eamon@skyislandalliance.org by April 1 for info on borrowing or purchasing a camera.

Pima Community College’s Louis Carlos Bernal Gallery opens its 2026 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition on April 6, featuring 53 works selected from more than 200 entries by students across PCC’s five campuses. The show runs through May 8, with a reception on April 15 from 3-5 p.m. and an award ceremony at 4 p.m. The gallery is free and open to the public at the Center for the Arts, 2202 W. Anklam Road.
