Voter turnout is gaining momentum in Pima County, with more than 27,000 people casting ballots in person and another 6,400 submitting mail ballots through ID-verified drop-off locations by the halfway point on Election Day, according to a post on X from the Pima County Elections Department.

Ahead of Election Day the county had received 293,761 early ballots.

Nearly 3,000 ballots were cast in the first hour of Election Day alone, signaling a strong start to the day, another earlier post states.

Just under six hours remain before the 7 p.m. deadline.
