A Navajo County Superior Court judge has ordered a voting location on the Navajo Nation to remain open through 8 p.m. after it opened late this morning.

Frances Sjoberg, an attorney with the Navajo Nation Department of Justice, told Votebeat that the late opening at the location, Hardrock Chapter House, wasn’t the fault of Navajo County. Poll workers were there on time, she said, but the building was closed.

“We thank the Court, Navajo County Election Officials, and Poll Workers for their hard work,” Sjoberg said in a statement. “Hardrock voters – if you haven’t already, get out and VOTE!”
