Booker, a third term Democrat and former mayor of Newark, also ran for president in 2020.

In late March, he spoke for 25 hours in the Senate chamber’s, the longest speech in the body’s history without eating or breaking to go to the bathroom. During the speech and since, Booker positioned himself as a critic of the Trump administration and was rising to the “moral moment.”

In his speech, frequently calling out the excesses of the current administration, Booker said, “These are not normal times in America. And they should not be treated as such.” He called for popular protest and resistance.

According to the town hall announcement, locals can make their voices heard about “the critical issues impacting our communities—from housing to healthcare to democracy itself.”

“Connect with fellow Arizonans from across the district and learn how to get involved, organize, and hold your representatives accountable,” the announcement continues.

Along with Booker, Democrats U.S. Rep Greg Stanton, Arizona Democratic Party Chair Robert Branscomb, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, and Pima County Attorney Laura Conover will be in attendance.
