Archaeology Southwest announced it has raised the $90,000 needed to purchase the Paige Canyon Preserve, a nearly 120-acre parcel of land in the San Pedro Valley, as part of its mission to protect and preserve irreplaceable cultural landscapes. Project details.

Comment on the draft Regional Active Transportation Plan by Monday, Aug 11. The deadline was extended. The draft plan will recommend improvements and projects that respond to active transportation needs in our region and will help inform future regional transportation planning efforts, according to the Pima Association of Governments. Celebrate the height of fig season at Mission Garden and help harvest the abundant crop, as figs ripen quickly in the summer heat. Harvest Days are Fridays from 7:30 – 9 a.m. Garden educators provide tools, personal protective equipment and guidance.
